Em's Turkey Chili


I know a lot of recipes but this one I can actually take credit for and it's delicious! 

Ingredients:
1 1/2-2 lbs. lean ground turkey                
1 cup frozen corn
3 (14oz.) cans diced tomatoes                
1 red pepper, diced
1 small can mild diced green chilies
2 tbsp. fresh minced garlic
1 (14 oz.) can red kidney beans                
½ yellow onion, diced
2 tbsp. olive oil                        
1 (16 oz.) jar Pace salsa (mild)
½ tbsp. salt                            
1 tbsp. chili powder
½ tsp. pepper                              
½ tsp. red pepper flakes    
1 tbsp. oregano

Directions:
Combine ground turkey in a large bowl with salt, pepper, oregano, chili powder and red pepper flakes. Mix well with hands. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brown meat with garlic, onion and red pepper and set aside. Set your slow cooker on low and add diced tomatoes, green chilies, kidney beans, frozen corn and salsa. Add meat mixture to slow cooker and cook on low for 4-5 hours. This chili has a mild to medium spice and is great served with garlic bread and a cold glass of milk. Enjoy!
